Ingredients We Love
A plant oil that’s a rich source of numerous fatty acids, jojoba oil can also provide topical skin-soothing benefits. Its texture is similar to the oil (sebum) human skin produces and is the perfect ingredient for dry skin and it also helps to decrease excess oil and balance skin.
Avocado oil is rich in healthy, fatty acid to help reduce dryness of the skin and hair. Because it contains vitamin A, B and E and vitamin E, it has antioxidant properties as well.
Sunflower seed oil is a great source of vitamin E, rich in nutrients and antioxidants, and is effective for combatting skincare issues like acne, inflammation and helps the skin retain its moisture.

How to Use
We recommend applying a nickel size of the Black Girl Sunscreen to your face daily and especially before going outside. Re apply every 2 hours as needed and 15 min before stepping outside. If you are wearing a top that shows off your chest and or shoulders make sure to use them there as well! Your skin on your chest is just as important as the skin on your face.
Meet the Founder
Black Girl Sunscreen is a black-owned and female founded company. Shontay Lundy, the creator of Black Girl Sunscreen wants people who have darker skin to know that while you have more natural protection than people with lighter skin tones, we’re still at risk for burns, cosmetic sun damage and—most importantly—skin cancer. Creating Black Girl Sunscreen was her answer to the commonly asked question, "Do black people need sunscreen?"
